RETAIL ASSISTANT

Retail Assistant – Primark, Gateshead

Company Description

Location: Primark Gateshead Metro Centre Pay rate: £13.00 per hour Employment type: Permanent Job type: Part time Contracted hours: 24 hours per week Shift pattern: Fully flexible across 4 days out of 7, including:

  • Sunday: 10:30–17:00
  • Weekdays: 14:30–21:00
  • Saturday: 13:30–20:00

Responsibilities

As a Retail Assistant, your role is to deliver outstanding experiences—every single day. Key tasks include:

  • Assisting customers with sizes, styles, purchases, and returns.
  • Maintaining a visually appealing shop floor—shelves stocked, fitting rooms tidy, and displays showcasing the latest fashions.
  • Ensuring smooth transactions at till points, handling queries, voids, and returns efficiently.
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking product conditions, and presenting them to the sales floor—always meeting high standards.
  • Supporting backstock operations while upholding proper pricing and merchandising standards.
