Retail Assistant – Primark Gateshead Metro Centre
Company Description
Location: Primark Gateshead Metro Centre Pay rate: £13.00 per hour Employment type: Permanent Job type: Part time Contracted hours: 24 hours per week Shift pattern: Varied (fully flexible across 4 days a week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends). Example schedules:
- Sunday: 10:30–17:00
- Weekdays: 14:30–21:00
- Saturday: 13:30–20:00

What You’ll Do
As a Retail Assistant, you’ll ensure every customer leaves with a fantastic experience. Your key roles include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service:
- Assisting shoppers with sizes, styles, purchases or returns.
- Guiding them smoothly through their journey at Primark.
- Keeping the shop floor immaculate and attractive:
- Maintaining well-stocked shelves, tidy fitting rooms.
- Showcasing the latest high fashion with care.
- Handling transactions with speed and friendliness:
- Managing till points, voids, returns, and customer queries.
- Ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
- Ensuring efficiency and quality in other critical areas:
- Receiving, unpacking, and checking inventory.
- Organising deliveries and presenting products correctly to reflect our high standards.
