About the Role: Retail Assistant ("Athlete") at NIKE Factory Store – Loanhead
This is a part-time (35 hours per week) Retail Assistant ("Athlete") role. The successful candidate will provide world-class service to consumers while contributing to a brand that pushes boundaries.

- Exceptional consumer service skills—using expertise to deliver a premium brand experience to NIKE consumers.
- Strong product knowledge—to inform customers on NIKE products and services and recommend appropriate purchases.
- A commitment to training—supporting teams and actively engaging in up-to-date training to gain insights into sales trends and brand identity.
- Digital proficiency—bridging the gap between in-store and online experiences.
- Collaborative and ** Proactive spirit**—working alongside the Coaches (retail leads), Store Managers, and other departments to maintain operations.
- Passion for sport, lifestyle, or fashion-related communities—aligning with the NIKE brand ethos.

Key tasks in the role will include:
- Supporting Coaches and floor managers in training new employees.
- Operating cash registers, managing inventory, refilling the shop floor, and building visual displays.
- Utilising knowledge of digital devices (e.g., romaine and athena) to drive sales and provide seamless customer experiences.
- Collaborating across different teams to implement strategies focusing on customer retention, sales targets, and staff efficiency.

Requirements
Preferred
- Current customer service or retail experience (though not compulsory).
- A strong sense of brand allegiance and personality.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- The ability to apply product knowledge to serve customers.
- Creative approaches to driving both store sales and consumer engagement.

Flexibility & Availability
- Part-time contract (35 hours per week).
- Willingness to work regular retail hours, including weekends.
- Availability required between 9am—9pm.
