Retail Assistant Full Time A89
Temporary Position – Maternity Cover Relief Opportunist / Assistant
Please note this is a temporary position (15 months), with the potential to be considered for permanent roles if outstanding performance is demonstrated during this period.
We’re seeking creative, personable, and self-motivated individuals to join our team as a Relief Opportunist / Assistant across multiple branches. This role enables us to enhance the customer experience with personalised service while covering maternity leave.
About Our Business
We are a specialist provider of photo ID and portrait photography, with an expanded service offering including:
- Digital printing
- Personalised photo gifts
- Canvas wall art You’ll thrive in an environment that encourages creativity, efficiency, and a fun "buzzy" atmosphere.
We begin all training in-house, so no prior experience is required—just enthusiasm and a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, turning visitors into long-term customers
- Engage in multitasking with adaptability across various tasks
- Utilise personal skills to create memorable experiences (smiling, friendliness, and energy matter!)
- Offer a personalised service (e.g., wedding photo IDs, pet portraits, custom gifts)
- Monetise opportunities via a strong understanding of products and promotions
- Contribute to a busy yet enjoyable workload, balancing staffing and operational needs

Requirements & Must-Haves
✅ Self-motivated and perfection-wise in providing excellent service ✅ Dwelling in the Bromley, Kingston upon Thames, Surbiton, and surrounding areas (M25 within budget). Key branch locations:
- Wallington Asda (CR0 4XS)
- Sutton Cheam Tesco (SM1 2NB)
- New Malden Tesco (KT3 4PJ)
- Twickenham Tesco (TW7 7JY)
- Yeading Tesco (UB4 9SQ) ✅ Willing to work 40 hours weekly, up to 5 evenings/weekends per week ✅ Strong motivations behind sales, growth, and career development
Salary & Benefits
- Starting salary: £26520.00 per annum (
£12.75/hour) with automatic increase after probation to at least £26624.00 (£12.80/hour). - Bonus opportunity: Uncapped weekly bonus scheme available.
