As a retail assistant, you’ll work at the heart of Screwfix, where our mission is to make tradespeople like you thrive by supporting them in every way possible. We craft opportunities through trusted relationships, expert knowledge, and an unmatched range of over 60,000 products available across 900+ stores, plus our industry-leading digital services.
You’ll be building meaningful connections with our customers—listening, troubleshooting, and ensuring every interaction leaves them smiling, prepared, and excited. You’ll be unstoppable: assistance on demand, unstinting energy, and genuine enthusiasm for problem-solving and going above and beyond.

Your schedule
- Monday to Friday: 7 AM to 8 PM
- Saturday: 7 AM to 6 PM
- Sunday: 9 AM to 4 PM

Responsibilities
What’s it like to be a Retail Assistant?

Requirements
You Are…
- A natural at customer service, burgeoning with a confident and proactive attitude—no-nonsense but warm.
- A rapid learner – hungry for training and eager to grow, with or without prior retail experience.
- A great communicator who codes energy transfer like an expert electrician: getting people excited and willing to get results.
- Willing to thrive, flexible, honest and enthusiastic about delivering—placing customers always first.
