Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

Retail Assistant (Part-Time) – Wavertree, Liverpool

Job Summary

Position: Permanent part-time Retail Assistant (PTRA) Hours: 16 hours across 4 days per week, including shifts on weekday evenings and weekends Pay:

  • Aged 16–20: £10.95 per hour
  • Aged 21+: £12.81 per hour Holiday: 6 weeks paid annual leave Location: Wavertree, Liverpool

About the Role

We are recruiting for a new Retail Assistant to join our friendly team in Liverpool. This permanent part-time role offers flexible shifts, great training, and a starting point for a career with a rewarding family business.

Responsibilities

As a Retail Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of the customer experience, delivering a positive and professional service. Daily tasks include:

  • Greeting customers with a friendly smile and helping them find products efficiently
  • Providing a fast and friendly till service, including packing for customers
  • Handling deliveries and stock management with care, ensuring freezers and shelves are stocked correctly
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain clean, safe, and orderly shop premises
  • Supporting daily shop routines such as cleaning, restocking, and stock rotation

Requirements

This role is ideal if you have:

  • Reliability—customers and colleagues will depend on you to deliver consistent service
  • Shift flexibility—when team members are unavailable, you’ll be expected to cover additional shifts. Rotas are planned three weeks in advance with regard to personal commitments
