Retail assistants play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and smooth store operations, handling tasks from cleaning, sales support to inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries
- Provide excellent customer service; comfortable in engaging with customers
- Provide product information and recommendations
- Operate the cash register and handle payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked shelves
- Maintain clean, presentable shop, including entrance, floors and till areas
- Receive, unpack, and display merchandise
- Assist with stock control and inventory checks, highlighting shortages
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
- Follow store policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Support promotions and sales initiatives

Skills And Qualifications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Good time management and attention to detail
- To be comfortable to approach Senior member if they have any concerns
- Excellent teamwork skills; often work as part of a team, requiring collaboration with colleagues to meet store goals.

- Must be flexible to work weekends and across various sites within Cheshire
