Retail & Business Development Manager (Chinese-speaking)

Location: London
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: OTE £65,000 – £90,000 per annum (including base salary, commission, and bonus)
Reporting to: Head of Offline Operations (Headquarters)

About Homary

HOMARY is a globally leading modern furniture and home lifestyle brand, renowned for blending classic design with superior quality. We operate multiple physical stores worldwide, and in the UK we have a commercial showroom in Chiswick, London, and a further showroom in Birmingham, offering customers an immersive product experience that showcases a wide range of stylish yet functional furniture solutions. As our international expansion strategy accelerates, we are rolling out a retail expansion (franchising) programme across the UK market. We are now looking for a versatile talent who combines retail operational capability with a commercial development mindset to join our team.

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Retail & Business Development Manager. This role integrates the fine-grained management of store operations with strategic external business development, acting as a critical hub for establishing HOMARY’s offline retail network in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance through effective team leadership and personalised customer interactions to achieve store sales targets.
  • Develop local marketing initiatives and support the headquarters in driving the franchising programme.
  • Ensure the brand consistently maintains a premium, welcoming, and orderly brand image.
  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform product and sales strategy.
  • Manage the offline retail budget and related administrative matters.
  • Formulate and execute a UK channel expansion plan, including regional targeting and quarterly goal setting.
  • Independently identify and proactively approach potential partners through industry exhibitions, trade associations, local retail networks, designer communities, competitor analysis, and other channels.
  • Manage the end-to-end business development process: from lead generation, prospect qualification, contract negotiation, and signing, through to store setup and opening support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional headquarters teams to localise franchise policies, product catalogues, pricing, and support systems for the UK market.
  • Regularly submit market intelligence, competitor updates, progress reports, and KPI data.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
