Retail Cashier Part Time

Cashier Position – Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores

About the Role

At Love’s, our cashiers work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean, welcoming atmosphere. You will provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service, supporting customers with everything from locating items to completing transactions. If you thrive in a team-oriented work environment and have a flexible approach, no prior experience is required—we’ll train you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide general customer service, including:

    • Assisting customers with finding products
    • Answering product/service questions
    • Addressing customer needs efficiently
  • Operate cash registers to:

    • Complete customer transactions accurately
    • Follow state/local regulations
    • Upsell and provide excellent service

  • Maintain food safety standards by following protocols for fresh and deli products

  • Ensure cleanliness by:

    • Keeping your work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps tidy
    • Performing regular trash runs
  • Possibly cross-train in additional departments, such as:

    • Restaurant Services
    • Fresh Kitchen
    • Facility Maintenance
    • Leadership roles (where applicable)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move and lift up to 25+ pounds
  • Capacity to work in various temperature conditions

Requirements

  • Open to all applicants – No experience required; on-the-job training provided
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to adapt
  • Customer service orientation—friendly attitude welcomed!
  • Must meet physical demands of the position (lifting/carrying duties)
