At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are recruiting a part-time In Store Cleaner at the Sainsbury’s Eastleigh store on a permanent basis.
- Hours: 18.5 per week
- Rate: £12.71 per hour
- Start: Immediate
Sainsbury’s stores operate 7 days a week. At Arcus, we offer flexible shift patterns, including 5-day and 6-day working weeks. Current shifts include morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, alongside weekend work. Overtime opportunities are also available for increased hours.
Key Shift Pattern for this Role:
- Sunday: 07:00 – 12:00
- Monday-Friday: Day off (excluding Thursday: 13:00 – 16:00 & Friday: 05:30 – 08:30)
- Saturday: 05:30 – 13:30

Key Responsibilities
Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for customers. Daily tasks include:
- Operating cleaning machinery (vacuums, mops, sweepers)
- Carrying out thorough cleaning, including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping
- Cleaning in-store areas like toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies
- Maintaining trolley bays outside premises, ensuring they are free of leaves and debris
- Applying strict health and safety procedures
Comprehensive training will be provided by Arcus.
Requirements
While previous cleaning experience is beneficial, it’s not essential; on-the-job training will be supplied. Ideal candidates should have:
- An eye for detail and passion for cleanliness
- A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
