At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit two part-time In Store Cleaners based in the Sainsbury's Hankridge Farm store on a permanent basis, both with an hourly rate of £12.71.
An immediate start is available.
Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week, and here at Arcus, we offer various shift patterns, including 5 and 6 day shifts, with early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. Weekend work is also available.
The current shift patterns for this role are as follows:
30-Hour Per Week Shift
- Sunday: 05:00 to 10:00
- Monday: Day off
- Tuesday: 05:00 to 10:00
- Wednesday: 05:00 to 10:00
- Thursday: 05:00 to 10:00
- Friday: 05:00 to 10:00
- Saturday: 05:00 to 10:00

18-Hour Per Week Shift
- Sunday: 06:00 to 09:00
- Monday: 06:00 to 09:00
- Tuesday: Day off
- Wednesday: 06:00 to 09:00
- Thursday: 11:00 to 14:00
- Friday: 06:00 to 09:00
- Saturday: 06:00 to 09:00
You will also have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.
Responsibilities
Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within the stores. Tasks may include:
- Operating machinery
- Thorough cleaning activities:
- Mopping
- Vacuuming
- Wiping
- Sweeping
- Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and even oven canopies when needed
- Keeping trolley bays clean by removing leaves and debris
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are applied

Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on-the-job training will be supplied
- An eye for detail and cleanliness
- A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
Please note: You will need to provide your own smartphone with NFC capability to access the Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance. This is a condition of employment.
