Retail Customer Service Manager

Job Description

As a Retail Customer Service Manager, you’ll play a critical role in the Entain family, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards daily. Working in our dynamic Ladbrokes & Coral betting shops, you’ll enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You’ll contribute to a collaborative team that prioritises customer satisfaction—building lifelong relationships and encouraging repeat business.

Salary: £13.00 per hour

What You Will Do

  • Deliver outstanding customer service with a focus on positive interactions.
  • URGE SAFER GAMBLING relentlessly, embedding responsible betting practices.
  • Handle bets across sports and events, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
  • Process customer transactions, including cash handling and payments.
  • Demonstrate products and betting terminals to customers, improving transparency.
  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns with empathy and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Work towards shop performance targets to drive sales and profitability.
  • Maintain high shop standards, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and compliance.
  • Open and close the shop as part of shift duties.

Work Patterns

  • Shops operate Monday to Sunday, typically 8 AM – 10 PM, depending on location. This includes weekends and bank holidays.
  • Your weekly rota averages 17 hours, combining longer opening/closing shifts with shorter evening shifts.
  • Rotas are provided at least four weeks in advance, supporting work-life balance.
  • Roles are on-site, requiring regular presence in high-traffic betting shops.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older (required for customer-facing positions).
  • Have prior experience in customer-facing settings, preferably in retail or hospitality.
  • Demonstrate confidence in engaging with customers face-to-face in a team-based environment.
  • Be familiar with cash handling and payment processing (strict security protocols enforced).
  • Commit to embracing a competitive, dynamic work culture with shifting priorities.
