Retail Customer Service Manager – Ladbrokes & Coral Betting Shops

Job Description

As a Retail Customer Service Manager, you’ll thrive at the heart of Entain, delivering exceptional customer service daily. Our dynamic Ladbrokes & Coral betting shops demand versatility—no day is ever the same! You’ll work alongside a cohesive team, prioritising market success and ensuring our customers feel valued.

  • Reports to: Shop Manager
  • Hours: Up to 17 hours/week
  • Salary: £13.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service—building relationships to encourage loyal repeat visits.
  • Proactively promote safer gambling practices.
  • Take bets across sports and events, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Process transactions, including cash handling and step-ups.
  • Demonstrate products, such as betting terminals and promotions, clearly to customers.
  • Resolve complaints/concerns with empathy, tailored solutions, and problem-solving.
  • Hit sales, service, and operational targets week-by-week.
  • Maintain high store standards (cleanliness, safety, and general presentation).
  • Manage the opening and closing process for the shop.

Work Patterns & Flexibility

Betting shops operate 24/7, and your shift patterns will include:

  • Weekdays/weekends/bank holidays
  • Opening hours: Typically 8am–10pm (customised by location).
  • Rota: Mixed shifts (long openings/closings + shorter evening shifts) for predictable scheduling.
  • Weekly hours: 17 hours (including varied shifts).
  • Forecasting: Your rota will be provided at least four weeks in advance to support work-life balance.

Requirements

Essential: ✅ You must be 18+ to work in our betting shops. ✅ Prior experience in customer-facing roles (retail, hospitality, etc.). ✅ Confidence handling face-to-face customer interactions. ✅ Aptitude for cash handling/payment processing (good maths skills helpful).
