Retail Deputy Manager – 18-Hour Contract

The Role: Retail Deputy Manager

Quarterbacks the store alongside the Store Manager, driving performance, operational consistency, and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Support the Store Manager in leading the team, delivering top-tier customer service, and meeting store targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Take ownership of stock management, merchandising, and compliance, ensuring smooth store operations.
  • Customer Commitment: Drive sales through personalised recommendations, inspire families and individuals through great service, and promote inclusivity.
  • People Development: Coach, mentor, and develop the team—providing feedback, offering growth opportunities, and fostering a positive environment.
  • Store Management: Step into the Store Manager role as needed, ensuring seamless continuity and operational health.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in hiring, training, and integration of new team members.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track store metrics, share insights, and contribute to strategies that enhance sales, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold health and safety standards, cash-handling protocols, and loss prevention measures.
  • Culture Champion: Build a motivating, inclusive, and high-performing team culture where everyone thrives.
