Retail Digital Marketing Lead

Head Office (Coventry) | Full Time (37.5 hours/week) | Permanent | £40K

Are you a forward-thinking digital marketer ready to make your mark at the heart of a values-led, community-focused organisation? Heart of England Co-operative Society is on the lookout for a Retail Digital Marketing Lead to drive our digital brand presence across food and funeral services. If you’re data-driven, strategically minded, and excited about emerging tech and AI, this could be your perfect next step.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Develop and lead an always-on digital marketing strategy across social media, email, websites, and a soon-to-launch mobile app
  • Drive engaging, personalised content that reflects our brand values—community, value, charity, ESG, and diversity
  • Shape our CRM strategy across the full customer lifecycle: acquisition, engagement, loyalty, and advocacy
  • Optimise digital campaign performance through analytics, segmentation, and A/B testing
  • Champion innovations in AI and emerging tools to enhance marketing efficiency and creativity
  • Support our mission to be the leading community retailer by promoting programmes like Helping Hearts and Pennies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party agencies to deliver targeted campaigns that increase footfall, average basket value, and brand loyalty
  • Manage our digital coordinator/apprentice and marketing budget

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
