Retail Excellence Trainer (South West & Travel Retail) Department: Education Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: All Stores, London
Description The role of the Retail Excellence Trainer is to deliver engaging and inspiring theoretical and practical training for the retail division, support customer events, and engage in promotional activities across key focus doors in the South West and Travel Retail locations.
The key focus of this role is to enhance the skills and knowledge of our retail professionals, ensuring they deliver a high-quality ELEMIS retail journey. This includes incorporating skilled Elemis consultation and premium retail activations, eventing and customer experience. Ensuring that the retail teams are always engaging and have accurate product recommendations, utilising effective sales skills techniques to support store AOV and KPIs, and coaching the retail team to deliver outstanding ELEMIS customer experience.
This role works with the Retail Excellence Training Manager and Head of Retail Education to support business goals and brand awareness and drive company sales within the retail channel. The Retail Excellence Trainer will be focused on supporting the main ELEMIS doors, across speciality, premium and owned locations within the UK.
Key Responsibilities Coaching and Development: Provide training on all NPD, retail services and seasonal GWP’s to maximize sell through. Be abreast of new technology, competitors and industry product trends that may be discussed during training delivery Support coaching for new retail hire onboarding Support the ongoing development of the retail specialists and in-store teams. Deliver on-site store coaching action plans. Coach store managers to confidently assess staff and conduct training when needed. Implement structured coaching frameworks to ensure consistency across all store locations Educate staff on the features and benefits of all ELEMIS product franchises strengthening product knowledge throughout the retail channel, leading to increased customer confidence levels and retail sales. Deliver Retail Training Programs: Work collaboratively with your regional counterpart to provide onboarding training for all new retail staff at the ELEMIS Training Academy and may occasionally train at an ELEMIS pop-up training space. Deliver ongoing training to the retail team, alongside your regional counterparts that strengthens their treatment expertise, product knowledge and selling techniques. Ensure all team members in retail are trained in the ELEMIS experience and Power of 4 Confidently deliver streamed retail training Provide hands-on training for ELEMIS retail activations and Eventing. Deliver when needed bespoke training sessions for specialist retailers. Elevate Brand Standards: Share best practice guidelines and operational manuals to support retail teams in delivering exceptional customer experiences and adherence to brand standards. Evaluate and assess the level of competency of the retail therapist to attain certification. Take pride in your appearance as an ambassador of the brand and lead by example. Perform regular assessments of skincare specialists to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable feedback Train Store Management in assessing staff and training. Support retail in-store events and activations. Present retail consumer masterclasses when needed Support PR team with influencer events when needed Performance Measurement: Provide feedback to the Retail Excellence training manager and Head of Retail Education on content development needs for the UK/IRE market and assist with support on key projects as requested. Test and trial new content for the retail channel. Work with Retail excellence training manager to present regular reports to Head of Retail Education on the effectiveness of coaching programs, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives. Guided by Head of Retail Education establish metrics to measure the impact of coaching and training initiatives Prepare and share on-site training plans with key stakeholders Feedback on skincare specialists’ performance (strengths and weaknesses) and recommended training plans. Provide timely and accurate feedback to key stakeholders regarding on-site coaching and outcomes and personal retail and service sales performance when working in a store or counter. Provide feedback post working on an event to the key stakeholders

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Beauty Therapy qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, including facial and body electrical is a bonus Experience within retail and has worked within a sales floor environment Teaching qualification highly desirable Passionate about beauty retail and professional skin services. Proven experience working in a retail environment demonstrating successful attainment of monthly store KPIs Previous training and coaching experience within the retail arena and treatment services General computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the beauty industry.
