About the Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in the Retail Sales Team, acting as the public face of The National Lottery to retailers nationwide. Through territory ownership, you’ll:
- Drive sales and revenue growth while boosting Returns to Good Causes.
- Elevate retailer performance via education, training, and advocacy.
- Champion The National Lottery’s commercial value to pushes sales and collective impact.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver sales and operational excellence
- Dissect industry trends, competitor benchmarks, and retailer specifics to optimise territory performance.
- Craft and disseminate Sales & Marketing updates to retail networks, aligned with the Annual Business Plan.
- Regularly review and exceed Retail Sales Team KPIs, leading cooperative efforts across divisions when needed.
- Author territory strategies and execute store visits – ensuring policies are transparent from player protection to retail standards.

- Build deep relationships with assigned retailers, nurturing collaboration and process assertiveness.
- Orbit your territory with agility, addressing in-store gaps and galvanising optimal execution.
- Champion retailer compliance with staff training via Retail Training Centre (RTC) initiatives, ensuring safeguards are front of mind.
Grow individually and organisationally

- Introduce innovative retail insights, tactics and best practices at scale.
Experience & Qualities We’re Seeking
- Previous sales / customer service (field-based background helpful but optional).
- Creative flair – able to inject fresh ideas into strategy.
- Sales & commercial intelligence – numbers-motivated and outcome-driven.
- Strong interpersonal skills with A-list consultative presentation – retailers will want to engage with you.
- Honed face-to-face selling acumen – the gold standard for this role.
- IT adaptability – versed in varied spreadsheet/data tools.
- Data-savvy – turn cold figures into actionable insight.
- Leadership in training – capable with audiences across seniority levels.
- Latteindre quis desire for work travel – a full UK driver’s licence is non-negotiable, along with the flexibility to cross-regions.
