About the Role
At Michael Kors, we are seeking a Retail IT Analyst based in our London office to support and enhance our global retail technology landscape. This role bridges IT operations and business engagement, ensuring the smooth functioning of retail systems while leading transformation initiatives alongside daily operations.
You will collaborate closely with business and IT leaders to manage routine activities, jumpstart improvements, and resolve incidents across our retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Technology Support
- Provide analytical and operational support for retail technology systems, including:
- Front-of-House: POS, payments, printers, scanners, and peripherals
- Back-of-House: store servers, networking, inventory, and operational applications
- Serve as the primary contact for store technology issues, coordinating resolutions with internal IT teams and external vendors
- Monitor system performance, identify trends, and proactively address risks and improvement opportunities
Project & Change Coordination
- Work with the PMO to support major retail IT projects such as:
- New store openings
- System upgrades and rollouts
- (Coordinate activities with business, IT, and third-party suppliers to meet project milestones)
- Assist with testing, deployment, and hypercare activities during project implementations
- Ensure clear communication of changes to impacted stakeholders and stores

Business-as-Usual (BAU) Operations
- Manage BAU tasks, incidents, and service requests for retail systems
- Facilitate communication between stores, business teams, and IT support functions
- Ensure issues are logged, tracked, prioritised, and resolved in line with agreed SLAs
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for processes, systems, and known issues
Stakeholder Management
- Build and foster collaborative relationships with retail operations, finance, supply chain, and IT teams
- Act as a trusted liaison between business users and technical teams, bridging complex requirements
- Provide regular status updates, reporting, and insights to stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance system stability, support processes, and user experience in stores
- Support the spread of standardisation and best practices across EMEA retail locations
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and post-mortems to capture lessons learned
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience with retail technology stacks, including POS, payment systems, printers, scanners, and store operational software
- Exposure to retail environments and store operational workflows
- Support or coordination experience in technology projects
- Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, problem, change)

Desirable
- Prior experience in an IT analyst, retail IT, or technology support role
- Excellent coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask across multiple projects
- Knowledge of working with cross-functional teams, including PMOs, business stakeholders, and IT delivery teams
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

- Compensation Range: 40,000.00 GBP - 50,000.00 GBP (may vary based on role requirements, skills, and experience levels). Note: Full-time equivalent figures apply for salaried roles.
