Retail IT Analyst – Michael Kors
Location: London Travel: Occasional travel to EMEA retail stores required
About the Role
Michael Kors is seeking a Retail IT Analyst to support and enhance the retail technology landscape in our London Office. This role sits at the intersection of IT operations and business engagement, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving major transformation initiatives.
You’ll work closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver BAU tasks, incidents, and continuous improvements across retail stores. Join a fast-paced, creative environment, and help ensure seamless technology-driven retail experiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Technology Support
- Provide analytical and operational support for the retail technology stack, spanning:
- Front-of-House Systems: POS, payments, printers, scanners, peripherals
- Back-of-House Systems: store servers, networking, inventory, operational applications
- Serve as the primary point of contact for store technology issues, coordinating with internal IT teams and external vendors for investigations and resolutions
- Monitor system performance, incidents, and trends to proactively mitigate risks and identify improvement opportunities
Project & Change Coordination
- Collaborate with the PMO to support retail IT projects, including:
- New store openings
- System upgrades and rollouts
- Coordinate project activities across business, IT, and third-party suppliers, ensuring alignment with milestones and timelines
- Oversee testing, deployments, and hypercare activities during project implementations
- Facilitate clear communication of changes to stakeholders and impacted stores

Business-as-Usual (BAU) Operations
- Manage BAU tasks, incidents, and service requests related to retail systems
- Facilitate communication between stores, business teams, and IT support functions
- Ensure issues are logged, tracked, prioritized, and resolved per SLA agreements
- Maintain documentation for processes, systems, and known issues
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with retail operations, finance, supply chain, and IT teams
- Act as a trusted liaison between technology and business teams, translating needs into technical requirements
- Provide status updates, reporting, and insights to stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance system stability, support processes, and user experience in retail stores
- Promote standardization and best practices across EMEA retail locations
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and lessons learned
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience with retail technology stacks including POS systems, payments, printers, scanners, and back-office systems
- Exposure to retail environments and store operations
- Support or coordination of technology projects
- Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, problem, change management)
Desirable
- Previous experience in IT analyst, retail IT, or technology support roles
- Strong coordination and organizational skills, managing multiple work streams simultaneously
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including PMO, business stakeholders, and IT delivery teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset

Compensation & Privileges
- Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000 GBP (variable based on role, skills, and experience)
