Retail Keyholder Role

Based in Universal Works, Derby Road Store, Nottingham

Reporting into the Store Manager

Responsible for:

Customer & Commercial Focus

  • Deliver a warm, welcoming customer experience and help build strong customer loyalty.
  • Support store sales by driving performance against key KPIs and maintaining excellent retail standards.
  • Stay aware of local activity, brand campaigns and customer needs to maximise sales opportunities.

People Support

  • Step up confidently in the manager’s absence to brief, motivate and guide the team.
  • Support onboarding and training of new starters and act as a role model in service, standards and behaviours.
  • Share key business information and provide day‑to‑day coaching, feedback and encouragement.

Product & Visual Merchandising

  • Follow VM guidelines to maintain an inspiring, high‑standard shop floor.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage replenishment and support deliveries, transfers and customer orders.
  • Contribute to product placement decisions and assist with end‑of‑season sale preparation.

Operations & Store Standards

  • Maintain excellent shop floor and back‑of‑house cleanliness and organisation.
  • Support store opening/closing processes, cash handling and till reconciliation.
  • Follow security procedures to minimise stock loss and escalate concerns promptly.
  • Support rotas, reporting and compliance with HR and Health & Safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Fashion retail experience is a must.
  • Supervisory experience would be advantageous.
  • Customer facing skills essential.
  • A friendly and confident articulate communicator
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to take the lead as and when required
  • Passionate about product and to be a brand ambassador
