Retail Manager – Compensation: £35,000 per annum (Weekly Hours: 43)

About the Role
As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail outlets, including bar and food services, as well as leading a team. Your key duties will include managing stock and resources, ensuring strict adherence to legal and health standards, and developing strategies to maximise sales and profitability. Your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality service and an exceptional experience for our guests.
Job Duties
- Develop and implement an effective business plan to maximise bar and food sales opportunities, driving revenue through strategic marketing and product displays.
- Recruit, train, and manage the performance of the retail team, ensuring high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and professionalism.
- Oversee stock control and rotation from approved suppliers, ensuring optimal stock levels, quality, and minimising wastage.
- Prepare, plan, and manage the retail budget, monitoring financial performance and achieving KPIs related to sales, profitability, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and company standards, particularly relating to the sale of alcohol, food preparation and service, gambling, and bingo.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and high-quality standards in all retail areas, including the cellar, while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Instil high service standards throughout the business, ensuring guests receive a memorable and enjoyable experience.
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge, ensuring all team members are trained and qualified to meet our company standards.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a retail management or hospitality role, preferably within the leisure or holiday park industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience in recruiting, training, and performance management.
- Ability to manage budgets, control stock, and optimise profitability while achieving KPIs.
- Comprehensive understanding of food, beverage, and retail operations, including stock control and cellar management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation regarding:
- Sale of alcohol
- Food safety regulations
- Gambling compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong health and safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods as required.
- This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
