Retail Media Manager
Job Description
Job Title: Retail Media Manager (T2) - Mars Pet Nutrition
Location: Waltham
The Retail Media Manager is responsible for leading the Retail Media agenda across Mars Pet Nutrition North Europe (UK, Ireland, and Nordics), translating commercial priorities into Best in Class onsite and offsite strategies. In this role, you’ll actively partner with internal teams (Shopper Activation, Online Account Managers, Regional CoE) and our media agency to plan, optimize, and measure retail media campaigns, driving performance against media KPIs and broader business outcomes. By staying ahead of global trends and pioneering advanced retailer capabilities, you will drive a robust test-and-learn pipeline to keep Mars Pet Nutrition at the forefront of digital retail media innovation and commerce marketing excellence. As a true expert, you are also responsible for championing this area across the cluster, building capabilities and engagement in the wider eCommerce channel.
This position is based on a hybrid working model which is currently 2 days per month in our Waltham office and ad hoc external meetings in London.
What are we looking for?
- Comprehensive experience in Digital Marketing, eCommerce, or Retail Media, ideally within FMCG.
- Proven success managing and optimising media campaigns (e.g. Sponsored Products / Banner Display / Offsite) across major UK retailers.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple initiatives and deliver with accuracy.
- Commercially minded with robust analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Comfortable analysing key performance metrics such as ROAS, CPC, CTR, and SOV to generate actionable insights.
- Highly collaborative relationship builder, with a proven ability to influence and partner effectively across diverse local and regional stakeholders.

What will be your key responsibilities?
- Optimize retail media performance by partnering with Shopper Activation and Online Account Managers, using retailer data to identify and implement growth opportunities.
- Drive integrated onsite and offsite retail media strategies through close collaboration with the Regional Media Team.
- Act as the primary contact for local media agencies, owning strategy deployment, reporting, and stakeholder cadences.
- Lead retail media reporting and performance analysis, turning data into actionable commercial insights.
- Drive creative excellence across North Europe Retail Media, partnering with regional content teams and agencies on best-in-class activations.
- Own shopper marketing execution and creative delivery for Ocado, On Demand Delivery, and Nordic Pureplay retailers.
- Identify and implement commerce innovation opportunities, including new retailer media platforms and emerging industry trends.
- Lead the North Europe test-and-learn agenda, building a structured experimentation pipeline to keep Mars Pet Nutrition at the forefront of retail media.
