What You’ll Do as a Retail Operations Learning Specialist (Global)
In this role, you’ll partner across teams, enact change, and drive learning initiatives globally. Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day:
- Translating Business Needs: Collaborate with Retail Operations, Franchise, Health & Safety, and Purchasing & Compliance (P&C) teams to turn business priorities into clear, actionable learning strategies.
- Global Learning Initiatives: Design, deliver, and embed consistent learning programmes across all markets, ensuring alignment with Primark’s standards.
- Compliance & Mandatory Learning: Develop and implement globally consistent compliance frameworks, adapted locally where needed.
- Franchise Support: Provide expert L&D guidance to Franchise teams, empowering them to meet Operational Standards and build capability.
- Learning Solutions: Create, maintain, and scale tailored learning pathways, working alongside subject matter experts and overseeing LMS compliance tracking & reporting.
- Data-Driven Improvement: Analyse learning data, derive insights, and drive continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with both business needs and legal requirements.

What You’ll Bring
We value authenticity—here’s what we ask in return:
- 5+ years’ experience in Learning & Development (L&D), Retail Operations, or a related field, ideally within a multi-site or retail environment.
- Retail Operations Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of retail functions and ability to translate complex operational needs into practical learning solutions.
- Programme Coordination: Proven track record of managing large-scale learning initiatives across multiple stakeholders and markets.
- Compliance & L&D Governance: Knowledge of compliance frameworks, learning governance, and operational capability, plus experience with LMS platforms and digital authoring tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, influencing, and engagement skills with diverse audiences.
- Adaptability & Organisation: Highly analytical, structured, and agile—able to juggle priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments.
