About Homary
HOMARY is a globally leading modern furniture and home lifestyle brand, blending classic design with superior quality. We currently operate two UK showrooms – in Chiswick (London) and Birmingham – and we are expanding our retail presence through new stores and a franchising programme across the country.
The Role
This is a hands‑on, store‑based role. You will be based at our Chiswick showroom, taking full ownership of its daily operations, sales performance, and team management. Unlike a regional or office‑based role, you will be on the shop floor every day, working alongside your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and meet store KPIs. You will also support our UK expansion by helping develop operational playbooks and assisting with new store setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Operations: Manage all on‑site activities – from opening/closing procedures, staff rostering, and inventory control to ensuring outstanding customer service standards.
- Sales & P&L Ownership: Drive the store to achieve monthly sales targets; control operational budgets and maximise profitability.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, coach, and motivate the in‑store team; conduct regular on‑floor training to improve conversion rates and average transaction values.
- Customer Experience: Personally engage with high‑value clients, resolve escalated issues, and maintain the brand’s premium, welcoming image.
- Visual Merchandising & Standards: Ensure the showroom’s layout, displays, and cleanliness consistently reflect global brand guidelines.
- Expansion Support: Assist in creating operational processes, training materials, and opening checklists for future new stores or franchise partners (secondary to daily store duties).
- Market Intelligence: Monitor UK furniture market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
