Retail Sales Assistant – Seasonal Role
Hours: 16h per week
Location: Grimsby
Shift Pattern: Monday – Sunday
We are recruiting seasonal colleagues to support our branches during the busy travel season. This role is offered on a fixed-term basis and is expected to run until October 2026, depending on business needs and seasonal demand.
About the Role
As this role supports our busiest trading periods, successful candidates must be available to work during peak weeks in July & August. Due to the seasonal nature of the role, annual leave may be limited during peak trading periods and will be subject to manager approval.

As a Retail Sales Assistant at eurochange, your role is to become the trusted face of our business by building strong customer relationships. You’ll provide expert advice tailored to needs, ensure memories are made through warmth, friendliness, and professionalism—all while training and growing with full support.
Responsibilities
- Build rapport with every customer to provide personalised and expert advice across all travel needs.
- Create exceptional, memorable interactions by leveraging knowledge, offering optimal travel products, and ensuring every exchange is positive.
- Uphold acccuracy in transactions while complying with financial regulations.
- Maintain a secure, welcoming, and presentable bureau.
- Promote additional services to enhance the customer experience, making travel simpler.
- Managing the bureau independently when the manager is unavailable.
- Assist with onboarding for new colleagues, sharing insights to build a cohesive team.
- Flexibility to work in nearby branches if business needs require.
Key Qualities to Succeed Here
- 1+ year of experience in retail sales, cash handling, and customer service.
- Confident, friendly, and positive attitude—making customers feel welcome and valued.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport and trust quickly.
- High accuracy and attention to detail—critical for transaction processing.
- Natural selling flair with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
- Flexibility to adapt, work independently, and relocate to nearby branches when necessary.
