The Role: Sales Assistant
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving sales performance, maintaining store operations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience to meet (and exceed) KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Support Store Goals
- Maximise sales opportunities by leveraging KPI data.
- Work with your team to meet and exceed sales targets through focused performance tracking.
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
- Act as a store ambassador to drive customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Elevate the shopping experience with a VIP concierge service, proactively contacting customers to share product updates and exclusive tastings.

Engage Shoppers with Passion
- "Sell the story, not the discount": Demonstrate deep product knowledge to share the artistry and expertise behind wines and spirits.
- Take ownership of wine education, committing to WSET Level 2 qualification progression.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the product range to build customer trust.
Operational Excellence & Accountability
- Ensure store presentation is clean, welcoming, and compliant—both inside and out.
- Handle all daily operational tasks, including:
- Delivering wine to customers.
- Merchandising stock deliveries.
- Conducting outbound calls to drive sales opportunities.
- Continuously identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency (feed ideas to your team).
Legal & Team Leadership Responsibilities
- Maintain full compliance, safety, and legal adherence through internal policies and mandatory training.
- Model Majestic’s ethos and mentor junior staff while providing feedback to your Store Manager.
- As a Key Holder, you’ll comply with store opening/closing protocols and operate independently when required.

✔ Wine Knowledge is helpful but passion for learning and future qualification progression (e.g., WSET Level 2) is essential.
Requirements
❌ Requires full UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months held, max 6 penalty points). ❌ Must be comfortable with frequent deliveries in company vans.

Job Specifics
📅 Contract: Permanent ⏰ Hours: 30 hours per week (must be flexible for evenings and weekends) 🚗 Driving: Key component—will NOT consider candidates without a valid UK manual driving licence (as above). 💵 Salary: £19,827.60 per year
