About Us
Skin Cupid is the UK's go-to destination for Korean skincare, trusted by a community of skincare lovers who rely on us for honest advice, expertly curated products, and a genuine love for Asian beauty.
Having launched our first flagship store in London, we're now bringing the energy of Skin Cupid shop-in-shops into John Lewis. This is a pivotal moment in our growth story, and the beauty consultants we hire for these roles will be at the very heart of it.
About the Role
This is a concession-based role at the John Lewis Cambridge location.
As our Beauty Consultant on the ground, you'll be the representative of Skin Cupid in your store, which means you won't just be doing the job, you'll be owning it. You'll run the Skin Cupid stand independently, bring your own energy and expertise to every customer interaction, and build genuine relationships with customers.
Day-to-day, you'll be guiding customers through the world of skincare and Asian beauty: understanding their skin, recommending the right products, and making every visit feel like a conversation with someone who is truly consultative. If you're self-driven, deeply passionate about skincare, and thrive when given real responsibility, this could be exactly the kind of role you've been looking for.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing personalised skincare consultations, understanding each customer's skin type, concerns, and goals to recommend products that genuinely work for them.
- Educating customers on Asian beauty ingredients, product benefits, and how to build effective skincare routines.
- Welcoming customers with warmth and expertise, making Skin Cupid a destination people actively seek out within the store.
- Running the stand independently: managing stock levels, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and keeping everything looking and functioning at its best.

- You're eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
