I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Brand Ambassador Mindset
Being a Brand Ambassador doesn’t get a salary add-on—it’s what we all live by. Your daily moments speak volumes.
Ways you achieve this:
- The smile that makes a frazzled parent breathe easier
- Assisting a shy child find their dream activity
- Wiping down shelves while inspiring someone with ‘have you tried X?’
- Anticipating what customers won’t explicitly ask for—then offering it instantly.
Brand loyalty isn’t ‘products our customers love’—it’s people who change. And it starts with you.

You’re here to: ✔ Deliver service that’s friendly, knowledgeable, and smooth every time. ✔ Maintain store excellence —impeccable ** merchandising, cleanliness, stock replenishment** ✔ Handle finances with precision (tills, cash handling, eschewing mistakes). ✔ Work flex with stockroom & delivery tasks (tumbleweeds are classic supply chain distrust). ✔ Adhere to operational procedures (safety first, theft prevention too). 🔑 (Keyholder) Open/close securely; enhance cash & store security. ✔ Team up to hit store KPIs ✔ Know your products – promotions, services + personal connections from your staff. ✔ Stay consistently positive & passionate—record-breaking days start with a kick in the right attitude.
Physical Realities
