The Role: Retail Sales Assistant

As Sales Assistants, you’re our brand ambassador – the face of The Works who creates magical moments for customers.

Your Mission

  • Deliver excellent service – greet colleagues with kindness, engage enthusiastically no one leaves without a smile.
  • Know our products – spark joyful discoveries and effortless recommendation (think recipes, gift-sized passions, and hidden favourites).
  • Look after the store – keep shelves stocked, spaces tidy, clean/dandelion policies followed B risk reduced.
  • Work the till – rotate accurately, understand payment options, correct petty cash singings.
  • Support stock & delivery – pack, process orders, ensure smooth flow between customers & fulfilment.
  • Stay safe & compliant – uphold health safety standards, loss prevention policies.

Keyholder Responsibilities (for those 18+)

With training and encouragement, qualified team members take ‘Keyholder’ roles:

  • Open & close the store securely and responsibly
  • Cash-up the register like a quick and accurate winner
  • Relay store-wide responsibilities like a manager
  • Enhanced pay – a fair reflection of the added responsibility
