Retail Sales Assistant, Cultural Landmark, London
£14.80 p/h plus holiday pay accrual.
High profile venue in Central London requires a reliable Retail Sales Assistant for some temporary shifts. These shifts can be weekdays or weekends and between 4 hours and 8 hours long.
About the Role
The main duties of the Retail Sales Assistant role are:
- Welcome and positively engage every customer
- Maintain visual merchandising standards across the shop
- Help exceed all retail sales targets
- Fully answer customer enquiries in a calm, professional manner, calling on support of the management team when appropriate
- Take pride in one’s appearance and personal presentation
- Operate the EPOS system in a secure and efficient manner
- Work as part of a team in a positive manner
- Responsible for health and safety and welfare of staff and customers, ensuring compliance with policies
- Conduct regular stocktakes
- Assist with deliveries
- Ensure that the shop is kept clean and tidy, and that stock is regularly replenished

Skills and Experience
- Experience of working in a retail environment, or similar
- Confidence and ability to proactively sell in very busy environments and exceed target
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering great customer service
- Good visual merchandising skills and excellent recall of product knowledge
- Flexible approach to a range of retail tasks, e.g. fulfilling online orders and stockroom duties
- Team-spirited
