Majestic Wine in Marlborough is looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and driven individual who wants to grow and develop in a company revolutionising retail.

The Role: Sales Assistant
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support your store team in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations while delivering an exceptional customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll act as an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to:
- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed KPI targets
- Deliver exceptional, market-leading customer service to drive growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases
- Provide a VIP concierge service, proactively reaching out to customers with product updates and tastings
- "Sell the story, not the discount"—demonstrate passion for wine by sharing in-depth product knowledge
- Develop your wine expertise to progress toward a WSET Level 2 qualification and boost confidence in selling
- Maintain store appearance both internally and externally as part of the retail team
- Complete all operational tasks, including:
- Delivering wine to customers
- Merchandising stock
- Calling customers to identify sales opportunities
- Continuously suggest operational improvements from your work, focusing on optimising store efficiency
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, regulations, and compliance, including mandatory training
- Represent Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members

As a key holder, you’ll also manage:
- Store opening and closing compliance processes
- Full operational responsibility while working independently
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Strong time-management, delegation, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to create an outstanding customer experience in every interaction
- Self-motivated—able to thrive both independently and in a team
- Passionate attitude with a focus on problem-solving
- Highly adaptable and resilient to meet evolving business demands
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- While existing wine knowledge helps, enthusiasm for learning and progressing toward a WSET Level 2 wine qualification is essential
- Must hold a full UK manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points

- Driving is a key part of the role, so comfort with operating company vans is essential. (Full UK manual transmission licence for at least 12 months is required.)
