We’re looking for motivated and personable Japanese speaking Retail Sales Associates to join our successful retail teams onboard cruise ships travelling around the world.
Do you have proven experience of providing excellent customer service? Are you tired of life on the high street, or have you worked at sea before and want to return?
This is a truly unique and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be adaptable and ready for new challenges, seeing the world while you deliver memorable retail experiences for our guests.
About Us

We stay at the forefront of retailing and consistently provide outstanding customer service, culminating in winning the Cruise Retailer of the Year award for 2022, 2023 and 2025.
What You’ll Do
- Live and work on a cruise ship, initially joining our teams onboard in Japan. Following your first contract you could be anywhere in the world.. our cruise line partners operate in the Caribbean, Alaska, Mediterranean, World Cruises and more!
- Create exceptional and memorable retail experiences for guests on board
- Maximise sales by promoting a quality range of products through a variety of in-store events
- Develop detailed and extensive knowledge of all products as well as the brand culture
- Participate in promotional events such as fashion shows and presentations
- Liaise on a daily basis with Japanese guests and provide translation services for other team members
- Maintain good stock control and impeccable visual merchandising standards in store

What You’ll Bring
- Strong retail background, ideally with knowledge of premium products
- Fluent Japanese speaking skills, as well as conversational English, is essential
- Excellent face to face customer service and sales ability, utilising strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivation and drive to achieve and exceed sales targets
- A solid work ethic, able to adapt to change and thrive in high energy environments
- A team player attitude, able to take initiative and be flexible in your role requirements
- A good level of physical fitness is required
