We’re looking for a social, leather-loving candidate who thrives on assisting customers, organizing a beautiful retail space, and spreading joy—while occasionally wielding a ladder to restock merchandise! If the scent of leather, organizing stylish products, and helping others excite you, this could be your dream job.
We seek applicants with weekend availability to work at our Downtown Birmingham, Michigan location. This role is ideal for enthusiastic individuals eager to shine in a dynamic retail environment.
Primary Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:
- greet customers with a friendly, authentic, and timely approach
- build lasting relationships and memorable customer experiences
- showcase a deep understanding of our store products

Store Maintenance & Merchandising:
- keep the store neat, organized, and well-stocked
- ensure a smooth and visually appealing layout for customers

Operational Duties:
- perform proper payment and sales procedures
- execute POS system functions (Shopify knowledge is a plus!)
- adhere to all safety policies to maintain a secure environment
- refurbish and move merchandise in and out of the backroom
- arrange and display products on shelves and racks
- handle up to 30 pounds or more with assistance, including climbing ladders

Stamina & Workflow:
- remain on your feet for 8 consecutive hours, continuously moving around
- stand, walk, kneel, and balance as required

Customer Service Excellence:
- communicate clearly with team members and shoppers
- follow verbal and digital (register/computer) instructions
Key Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or higher
- Weekend availability to accommodate weekend shifts
- Proven customer service/retail experience
- Ability to stand and actively move for extended periods
- Teamwork mentality—collaborative mindset is a must!
Preferred:
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Shopify
- Physical stamina for lifting, climbing, and reorganizing inventory
Physical Demands (see note below):
- Must be able to daily lift 30+ pounds with assistance
- Must ascend/descend ladders while balancing items
- Tasks require standing, kneeling, walking, and balancing for the duration of a shift
