Retail Security Officer
Retail Security Officer (Various Shifts – £13.23/hr) – Sainsbury’s, Northampton
About the Role
Mitie is seeking dedicated Retail Security Officers to maintain a safe, crime-free shopping environment at Sainsbury’s, Northampton, where excellent customer service meets proactive security measures.
🔹 Preferred: An existing SIA licence (though training may be provided in some cases). 🔹 Vetting Requirement: Clean 5-year employment/education history—failure to substantiate could affect your employment.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide industry-leading customer service whilst enforcing security protocols.
- Actively deter violence, public disorder, and theft.
- Conduct regular store patrols (including check-ins).
- Monitor and utilise CCTV systems to prevent crime and inventory loss.
- Maintain professional liaison with store management, police, and local crime prevention partners.
- Operate body-worn CCTV to enhance colleague and customer safety.
