Retail Security Officer
Retail Security Officer – Newtownabbey
We’re looking for a confident and professional Retail Security Officer to join our team in Newtownabbey, helping to protect our people, products and store environment. You’ll ensure a safe and welcoming experience for customers while maintaining high standards of security and professionalism.
This is a full-time, permanent role, offering flexibility to work across daytime, evening, and weekend shifts—ideal for anyone who thrives on responsibility and variety as an essential part of the store team.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Actively monitoring the store to identify and prevent incidents.
- Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies.
- Supporting Health & Safety procedures and risk management.
- Conducting investigations into:
- Stock loss
- Theft
- Fraud
- Engaging professionally with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an individual who is:
- Alert, calm under pressure, and confident in their decision-making.
- Responsible, with a customer-first mindset.
- Comfortable following procedures and remaining composed in challenging situations.
- A strong communicator (both verbal and written).
- Able to handle difficult conversations professionally while applying sound judgement.
- Honest, integrity-driven, and a strong team player who takes pride in ethics and colleague support.
Previous security experience is beneficial but not essential—what matters most are the key skills and behaviours outlined above.
