Retail Security Officer – Tesco Partnership
Location: Tesco, Consett Genesis (DH8 5XP)
Pay: £13.47 per hour
Hours: On average 48 hours per week
Shifts: Various hours and shifts across the week. 08:00am - 16:00pm & 16:00pm - 00:00am.
About The Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is looking for a professional and reliable Retail Security Officer to join our team at the Consett Genesis store.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues. You’ll act as a visible deterrent, respond to incidents, and support store operations while delivering excellent customer service and upholding the Kingdom brand.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the store to ensure safety and security
- Provide a strong and visible deterrent against theft and anti-social behaviour
- Monitor store activity and respond to incidents effectively
- Complete accurate reports and maintain clear records
- Support Tesco colleagues and contribute to smooth store operations
- Handle challenging situations calmly, professionally, and confidently
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding required)
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and confident approach
- Good observation skills and sound judgement
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Previous security experience desirable but not essential
