About The Role
We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and company assets while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the retail premises to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
- Conduct regular security checks of the store and surrounding areas.
- Observe and report suspicious behaviour or incidents.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
- Assist with loss prevention strategies and support stock protection measures.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security logs.
- Provide a visible and reassuring presence for customers and employees.
- Work closely with store management and local authorities when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
- Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, or a similar security role preferred.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Good report-writing and record-keeping abilities.
- Customer service experience is advantageous.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.
- Complete all the in house and online Training module.
