Senior Sales Assistant - 22 Bank Street, Lochgelly, KY5 9QQ
Purpose
To work alongside the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager as part of the management team. Running the shop in their absence whilst promoting the company values. Giving moments of joy to our customers.
Shifts
YOU will be given various shifts - which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on), between 5:00 am and 5:00 pm - any 5 days from 7.
Hours
25 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).
Pay
£13.20 per hour plus an excellent benefits package (see below).

Bayne’s the Family Bakers have a proud history serving local communities for over 70 years.
We use traditional baking methods to produce the finest, freshest, mouthwatering products which we only sell in our own Bakery Shops.
What will YOU do:
- Prepare and serve customers with our award-winning range of bakery products.
- Set up and maintain counter and window displays.
- Resolving customer queries and complaints.
- Leading by example and living our values every day (Customer Focus, Respect, Continuous Improvement & Sustainability).
- Prioritising tasks and delegating duties to team members.
- Encouraging positive workplace behaviours including attitude, integrity, appearance and punctuality.
- Delivering and encouraging a consistent and excellent customer experience.
- Maintaining high standards including shop appearance and both the quality and availability of products.
- Key holder with responsibility for opening and closing the shop.
- Adhering to and promoting compliance with company policies and legislation. This includes health & safety and food safety.
- Holding return to work meetings and documented discussions.
- Managing cash in line with company guidelines.
- Computer related tasks, such as data entry and recording figures.

About YOU:
- Supervisory experience ideally in a food retail environment.
- Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
- Open, honest & approachable nature, with an ability to listen and empathise with colleagues and maintain confidentiality.
- Flexible to work various shifts across the shop opening hours.
- Basic computer and numeracy skills
