Retail Shift Lead

Company Shop Group – Shift Lead Role

About Us

Company Shop Group is the largest commercial redistributor of surplus food and household products in the UK, enabling major retailers, manufacturers, food service and logistics providers to unlock value from surplus stock, which may have otherwise gone to waste. Our surplus is redistributed through our Company Shop stores and our award-winning social enterprise Community Shop, where we build stronger individuals and more confident communities. Working with our partners, we deliver incredible impact and are proud to be a good business doing good.

About the Role

We consistently deliver great member service by truly putting our members at the heart of what we do, with a focus on store standards. The Shift Lead is responsible for the day-to-day running of the store on shift, leading colleagues to deliver strong operational performance, high standards, and a positive member experience. The role demands execution, shift leadership and support for store plans.

Our stores succeed when we collaborate, ensuring a great experience for our members—so doing the right thing makes a positive difference.

  • Maintain high operational standards across all store areas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
