Retail Shift Manager Vacancy

Salary: £15.45 - £15.95 per hour | Contract: 35+ hours | Holiday: 30-35 days (pro rata) | Discount: 10% in-store | Leave: Enhanced family leave

About the Role

In this dynamic role, you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining Lidl’s high standards. From inspiring your team to taking the lead on the shop floor, you’ll ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced, challenging environment. You’ll serve as a trusted leader, enabling you to prove your capabilities and lay the groundwork for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivate and mentor your team using key Leadership and Company Principles
  • Swiftly solve problems and delegate tasks efficiently
  • Create a collaborative environment where colleagues thrive alongside you
  • Step into leadership when the Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager is unavailable, managing day-to-day store operations
  • Ensure smooth operations through:
    • Freshness checks_ (maintaining high standards)
    • Cash processes and financial accuracy
    • Inventory and stock management
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, enhancing every customer visit

Requirements

You’re the person for this role if you:

  • Have experience in leading a team to achieve targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Excel at delegating tasks and motivating your colleagues
  • Stay calm under pressure, even in high-stress situations
  • Passionately commit to growing your role within the Store Team
  • Adopt a proactive, encouraging mindset, helping colleagues develop and improving store operations
