Retail Shift Manager
Retail Shift Manager – Lidl
Summary
- Competitive pay:
£15.45 – £15.95 per hour
- £2.00/hour for bank holiday work
- £3.50/hour for night shifts
- Hours: 35-hour contract Shifts: 5am – 11pm
- Holiday: 30–35 days per year (pro rata)

Responsibilities
- Motivate and guide your team using Lidl’s Leadership and Company Principles
- Troubleshoot quickly and delegate effectively when challenges arise
- Foster a collaborative culture that empowers colleagues to succeed
- Take responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers
- Handle freshness standards, cash processes, inventory, and stock to deliver smooth service daily
- Ensuring every customer experience meets or exceeds Lidl’s high standards
Requirements
Experience or ability to:
- Lead a team in a fast-paced, high-demand retail environment
- Delegate tasks and motivate staff to meet targets
- Stay calm and professional under pressure
- Build strong relationships through a kind yet approachable demeanour
- Develop your team and optimise daily operations with a proactive mindset
