Retail Shift Manager

** Retail Shift Manager – Lidl (30-Hour Contract)**

Summary

  • Rate: £15.45 – £15.95 per hour
  • Contract: 30-hour regular contract
  • Holiday: 30–35 days (pro rata)
  • Discount: 10% in-store discount
  • Family Leave: Enhanced family leave

About the Role

We're looking for reliable, organised, driven individuals who thrive under pressure—just like you. As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you’ll oversee daily operations, support your team, and uphold our high standards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role offers growth opportunities, competitive pay (including £2 extra per hour for bank holidays and £3.50 for night shifts), and supportive training to help you progress at Lidl.


Responsibilities

  • Store Operations:

    • Manage store functions in the absence of the Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager
    • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including freshness checks, cash handling, and inventory/stock management
  • Customer Experience:

    • Deliver an exceptional shopping experience for every customer
  • Problem-Solving:

    • Take quick action when issues arise, adapting to challenges with confidence

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure retail environment
  • Delegation & Motivation: Skilled at assigning tasks and inspiring your colleagues
  • Customer Focus: Friendly, adaptable, and resilient under pressure
  • Work Ethic: Proactive and encouraging, committed to team development and store success
