Retail Shift Manager – Lidl (35-Hour Contract)

Carers/Welfare Duty Holiday Payment | £15.45 - £15.95 per hour | 30-35 days holiday (pro rata) | 10% store discount | Enhanced family leave

As a Retail Shift Manager, you’ll help uphold Lidl’s reputation for exceptional service. You’ll lead your team, keep the store running smoothly, and take pride in creating measurable results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive team performance and develop colleagues through structured training and mentorship
  • Solve issues promptly, delegate tasks, and ensure store operations run efficiently
  • Step into the role of Store Manager or Deputy Manager when required
  • Monitor and manage fresh produce standards, cash processing, inventory, and stock levels
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving issues and ensuring a seamless shopping experience

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team to meet goals in a high-pressure, retail environment
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and inspire your team
  • A calm and professional demeanour, with a patient and customer-focused attitude
  • A willingness to learn and grow, with self-motivation and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative spirit that empowers colleagues and supports store development
