Retail Shift Manager

£15.45 to £15.95 per hour | 35 - 40 hour contract | Various shifts | 30-35 days holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Enhanced family leave

About the Role

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you’ll help maintain our high standards day after day. Whether you're motivating your team or taking responsibility for the shop floor, your role will drive efficiency in a fast-paced setting. You’ll receive increased responsibility to prove yourself as a leader while also securing growth opportunities for your future career.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and support your team, aligning with our Leadership and Company Principles.
  • Resolve problems swiftly and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Foster an environment where colleagues thrive and teamwork is paramount.
  • Manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager.
  • Ensure high standards in freshness, cash processes, inventory, and stock management for seamless shifts.
  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences during every visit.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading a team to meet targets in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong delegation and team-motivation skills.
  • Patience, friendliness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Commitment to thriving as a key team member, championing both ** Store Team** growth and store efficiency.
  • A proactive and encouraging approach for colleague development and operational improvement.
