Retail Store Assistant – £12.71 per hour (Part-Time) – Thurrock Superstore
Fixed-term contract (3 months)
Reports to: Shop Manager Department: Trading Location: Thurrock Superstore Contract: 3-month fixed-term Working hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week

This part-time Retail Store Assistant role is your chance to become an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, connect with your local community, and support fundraising efforts while working alongside a team committed to the same mission: beating cancer together.
What You’ll Do
Acting as a frontline team member, your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering outstanding customer and supporter service, ensuring happy, engaged people enter our stores.
- Contributing to sales and fundraising targets, helping drive ambitions as part of the shop team.
- Maintaining shop standards, including:
- Visual presentation
- Safeguarding compliance
- Health and safety adherence
- Building relationships within both the local community and across the Cancer Research UK team.
- Supporting store-hosted fundraising events to meet targets—training provided in keyholding responsibilities if needed.
