Retail Store Manager – New Balance

Major Accountabilities

  • Drive and motivate your team to achieve individual and store targets
  • Lead by example on the shop floor and in back-of-house operations
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures, including:
    • Visual merchandising
    • Commerciality
    • Stock control
    • Loss prevention
  • Manage the execution of retail game-changers in your store
  • Analyse store performance and make decisions to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Deliver total customer satisfaction and boost sales through:
    • A premium customer experience
    • Advanced sales techniques for results
  • Co-ordinate rostering and store scheduling
  • Implement, monitor, and track loss prevention processes
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in-store
  • Manage in-store HR operations, including:
    • Recruitment
    • Onboarding
    • Employee relations
    • Payroll
    • Performance management
    • Training and development
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, escalating issues as needed
  • Proactively share internal and external feedback with Senior Management
  • Undertake any additional duties as required by Senior Management

Requirements for Success

As a New Balance Retail Store Manager, you will thrive in this role with the following skills and experiences:

✅ Team Player – Ability to collaborate and inspire colleagues ✅ Proven leadership in people management ✅ Retail experience (preferred but not mandatory) ✅ Strong customer service skills ✅ Knowledge of loss prevention procedures ✅ Passion for retail sales and deep understanding of retail KPIs ✅ Desire to learn and adapt ✅ Ability to perform basic maths and retail operations ✅ Proficiency with POS (Point of Sale) systems ✅ Excellent attention to detail ✅ Effective communication skills ✅ Fluent English required ✅ Awareness of retail market trends/consumer behaviour ✅ Comfortable with remote management ✅ Flexible attitude to shifts, weekends, and holidays
