The Opportunity
Our AWLQ retail stores are transforming as we grow our commercial presence and refresh our ‘Op Shops’ to 'Thrift Shops.' We want experienced Retail Supervisors to support our volunteers and lead day-to-day operations, while creating an outstanding customer experience. We have openings at our Ipswich and Beenleigh stores for 32 hours a week, including weekends.
You will be a hands-on, experienced Retail Supervisor with a sharp eye for detail, supporting the overhaul of our store presentation, developing our volunteer team to drive sales, and maintaining the benchmark for our AWLQ Thrift Shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment.
- Demonstrate hands-on support across customer service, volunteer coordination, store presentation, cash handling and operational compliance.
- Lead, inspire and motivate the volunteer team to be sales superstars.
- Support the roll-out of a new POS and Time & Attendance systems.
- Supervise POS operations, including opening and closing reconciliations, floats and cash handling procedures.

About You:
- Previous experience in guiding a team
- Excellent customer service skills to build loyal customer relationships
- Engaging interpersonal skills with a focus on team building
- Minimum 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience
- Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
- Collaborative team player who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment
- Creative thinker with an eye for detail and innovation
- Experience with POS & Time and Attendance systems
- Driver's Licence preferred
- Willingness to obtain a Police clearance
