About the Role
Position: Retail store assistant (with keyholder responsibility) Salary & Benefits: £12.71 per hour + benefits Department: Trading Reports to: Shop manager Contract: Permanent Hours: Part-time (6 hours – Sundays only) Location: South Sea Shop

Responsibilities
You’ll:
- Oversee Sunday shop operations, including keyholder responsibilities (training provided) and supporting volunteers.
- Help achieve sales and fundraising targets within the wider team.
- Review, receive, and process donated goods and new stock.
- Generate creative revenue ideas (with guidance from the Shop Manager).
- Deliver ** Outstanding customer service**, ensuring supporters feel welcome and valued.
- Uphold safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety standards in-store.
- Prepare for moderate manual handling and physical demands as part of daily duties.

- A deep understanding of excellent customer service.
- Experience thriving in a lively and energetic retail environment.
- Adapability and resilience – working independently or as part of a team.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build relationships.
- Open to flexible work (staff work rota-based, but we respect a work-life balance).
