Retail Supervisor – Farmfoods (Bloxwich, West Midlands)

Hours & Pay

  • Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible shifts, 5 days)
  • Pay: £13.61 per hour (minimum £530/week)
  • Overtime may be available.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Retail Supervisor for our shop in Bloxwich, West Midlands. This is a permanent full-time position (39 hours) working across a variety of shifts, including weekends. Flexibility is essential.


Responsibilities

As a Retail Supervisor, you will:

  • Support the shop manager in leading the team to maintain an efficient, customer-focused environment.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring:
    • Customers are provided with excellent service
    • Deliveries are processed smoothly
    • Routines are completed to keep the shop clean, safe, and tidy
  • Open/close the shop, handle cash transactions, and place orders.
  • Train and develop retail assistants.
  • Control operational costs, including shrinkage (theft/theft), waste, and payroll.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A friendly, hardworking attitude with a strong people-focused approach.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with both team members and customers.
  • Trustworthiness and reliability—this role requires diligence in daily responsibilities.
  • Supervisor/team leader experience in retail or related industries is beneficial, but not mandatory—we welcome career starters!
  • A willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check (or Disclosure Scotland check if employed in Scotland).
