Retail Supervisor - Full Time
Retail Supervisor Vacancy – Farmfoods, Quedgeley, Gloucestershire
Hours
- 39 hours per week (5 days)
- Hours generally run 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday (covering weekends as required)
Pay & Financial Benefits
- £13.61 per hour
- Guaranteed minimum of 39 hours per week ($£530 minimum weekly earnings)

Key Responsibilities
As Retail Supervisor for this role, you will:
- Be a key member of the shop management team, partnered closely with the manager to ensure a well-run, efficient shop with excellent customer service.
- Take full responsibility for shop operations when the manager is unavailable, ensuring:
- Customers are attended to promptly
- Deliveries are processed efficiently
- Daily routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment
- Perform operational tasks including:
- Opening/closing the shop
- Handling cash transactions
- Managing ordering and inventory
- Directing and developing a team of retail assistants
- Oversee operational costs, including:
- Controlling shrinkage (loss), waste, and payroll expenses

Requirements & Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who:
- Possess a friendly, positive and hardworking attitude, with a passion for customer service.
- Are experienced ‘people persons’, capable of building strong relationships within a team and with customers.
- Demonstrate trustworthiness, reliability and accountability – this role will require independence and dependability as part of a small team.
- Have supervisory, team-leading or management experience in retail or a similar industry (though prior experience is not mandatory; we welcome career starters with the right mindset).
- Agree to completing a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland), should they be offered the role – failures/delayed returns may result in conditions being placed on employment.

Contract Information
- Position: Full-Time Shift Variable (FTSV)
- Hours: 39 per week
- Workdays: 5 per week (availability open to weekends as required)
